The Rescuers 40th Anniversary

Over the summer, The Rescuers celebrated its 40th anniversary and the Mickey's of Glendale shop celebrated by releasing a limited edition pin I had the pleasure of designing. I just recently found some pictures of it floating around the internet and wanted to share.

Lilo & Stitch 15th Anniversary

It sometimes takes me a while to learn when pins I've designed are released to the public, but it brightens my day a little more every time I do. This time, I found out that the Mickey's of Glendale on the Walt Disney Imagineering campus released a pin I worked on for Lilo and Stitch's 15th Anniversary. This film holds a special place in my heart as one of the few films made entirely at the Disney studio in Florida. My dad worked in the same building as the team and I had the rare opportunity to glimpse this gorgeous film throughout its production. I still remember the first time dad tried to explain Stitch's character to me.

Disney Soda Fountain

It's been a while, but I found out that a few more of my pin designs for the Disney Studio Store on Hollywood Blvd have been released. Genie in his touristy shirt was a pretty specific request and probably the most fun to come up with.

Hard Rock Cafe New York City

I'm usually more on the character based art side, but every once in a while, I get the opportunity to stretch my architecture muscles. This was a pin released a little while back of the front of the Hard Rock Cafe on Broadway in New York City. I like how it came out!

Hercules 20th Anniversary

Last month, the still ungodly funny movie, Hercules, turned 20. This movie is one of my favorites out of the Disney studio and it's not just because I share a name with the heroine. To celebrate, Mickeys of Glendale at Walt Disney Imagineering employed us to make a pin for the occasion and I had the pleasure of designing it.

Father's Day 2017 with Inside Out

Another month, another holiday that saw a release of one of my first pin designs. This pin with Riley and her dad was designed right alongside the Finding Dory pin and I saw it released last month for the holiday. This was a cute one to do, especially since I don't see these two very often!

Hard Rock Cafe Tokyo Uyeno Eki

Another one of my pins for Hard Rock Cafe showed up in the wild! This one was a unique project. Pandas are a common motif in pins for Japan, but this one is unique for the other animal in the design. Apparently, a nearby zoo has a shoebill stork that is well loved by everyone that visits it. I'm hoping that I did that permanent grump face some justice.

Hard Rock Cafe Munich

Most of my clientele are various art departments at Disney. Occasionally, I get work from another big pin seller, Hard Rock Cafe. I saw that one of my designs surfaced at a Cafe all the way in Germany. They asked for a girl wearing one of their famed rock and roll memorabilia. Here's a concept I put together that eventually became the pin.

That's A Lot of Hair

I came across another one of my pins released recently. This time, I did some work for the Mickey's of Glendale shop at Walt Disney Imagineering. I was tasked with drawing characters inside these really cute shield locket hinge pin things they gave me. Below is my first sketch of probably my favorite out of the bunch, Merida.

Mother's Day 2017 With Finding Dory

In honor of this past Mother's Day, The Disney Parks released a limited edition pin that I designed for them. I think it was only available at the parks and such, but it was so cool to finally see this piece in person! Below are some peeks at how this project got from start to finish.

Midsummer Scream Announcement

I am happy to officially announce that I'll be tabling at Midsummer Scream this summer in Long Beach, CA! I'll be there to promote and sell artwork (and hopefully other goodies) for Spirit Rappings. If you're like me and start celebrating Halloween on July 5th, this convention's for you! Check out the other amazing vendors I'll be surrounded by here.

Disney Soda Fountain

Discovered another few pins of mine that were released by Disney Studio Store Hollywood . It was such a treat (pun definitely intended) to draw this batch, especially. I don't think Belle was part of their usual lineup, but released as some sort of special gift.

Disney Soda Fountain

Just learned today that another couple of my designs for the Disney Studio Store were released recently. It was fun drawing characters we don't usually see, like the Church Mice and Jenny.

Disney Soda Fountain

Here's some of the latest pins I designed that were recently released at the Disney Soda Fountain in Hollywood. Mickey is always deceivingly challenging to draw, but Crackle was probably my favorite out of this bunch.

Emerald City Comic Con 2017

If you happen to be in the Seattle, WA area at the end of the month, join me and my friends at Emerald City Comic Con! It's my first time going, let alone tabling there and I can't express how excited I am. I'll be sharing a table with my crazy talented friend, Genue Revuelta. She made this handy little map so you can find us and our also amazingly talented friends.

Disney Soda Fountain

Another couple of waves of my pins were released at the Disney Soda Fountain in Hollywood. Here are the concept sketches I put together for the projects. Sebastian was one I had a lot of fun with, so it's cool that it got released already!

Disney Soda Fountain

It looks like during the holiday season, the Disney Soda Fountain released a lot of pins I designed one right after the other. I'm just trying to keep up! I'm glad they already released my Baby Pegasus. That little guy was a favorite toy of mine as a kid and will always have a special place in my heart and on my sketchpad.

Disney Soda Fountain

Another batch of pins I designed for the Disney Soda Fountain. The muses were probably the hardest in this group, but definitely the most fun. I always just on any opportunity to draw them.

Witchsona Week

I'm not sure if I quite missed it this year or not, but here's my participation in the little internet tradition called Witchsona Week. I'd probably be a solitary witch living in the woods with my horde of animal/spirit minions friends. We'd collect flowers and pretty rocks.

Disney Soda Fountain

I found some more of my concept sketches for pins that have now been sold at the Disney Soda Fountain. Nick was probably my favorite to design.

Ground Zero Animation Expo 2017

I'll be coming back this year to the wonderfully chill and entertaining Ground Zero Animation Expo in Anaheim. You'll find me selling prints and any other merchandise that I can have ready by then, as well as just talking shop with anyone stopping by the table. If you're interested and can make it, tickets are on sale now at See you there!

Disney Soda Fountain

I don't quite remember if I ever officially announced on here or not, but something really cool happened last summer. I was given the incredible opportunity to work for an amazing company that designs pins and like merchandise for various properties all over the world. Given my background, I usually work on their Disney projects. Even though I've been chugging away nonstop for months, it wasn't until just recently that my designs started to get out to the public.

I did a handful of designs for the Disney Soda Fountain shop, specifically, and came across some that they've released so far.  Here are the concept sketches that eventually went into being the final pins for their ongoing Pin Trader Delight series.
