Disneybounding

Lately, I've been getting into a trend amongst Disney fans called Disneybounding. It's basically wearing fashion inspired by Disney characters/borderline cosplay. It's a lot of fun coming up with variations on the character, but still make them recognizable. I've done a few paintings for outfits I planned.

My first painting was Meg from "Paperman" that I wore to one of the Dapper Day fan events.

Another was Captain Hook that I wore for the Unleash the Villains event at Walt Disney World.

Not all the outfits I plan turn out as I originally want, but they're really fun design challenges, all the same.

"Spirit Rappings" Concept Art: Part Four

It looks like there's been some more of my concepts for Spirit Rappings that I've yet to upload.

I once participated in a simple art challenge that prompted to show characters in their bathing suits to celebrate summer. Seeing as the story takes place in Florida and some scenes are on the beach, I took the opportunity to try out how Spirit Rappings' main ladies looked in bathing suits.

A quick concept of young Abby. I don't think it's final, but I do like her big ponytail and missing teeth.

Someone showed me this outfit that they thought was very appropriate for Vin. I unfortunately don't have the link to it anymore, but it was still fun to try him out in some different clothes. This was also an experiment for a possible penciling style I could use in the comic.

A little speedpaint I did for Abby. Again, trying out another painting style.

A quick paint with Vin where I was experimenting with mood. I don't know what I find so fun about painting the silver streaks he has when mortal, but I do.

Mane Stream

A while ago, Hasbro held an art contest to design a My Little Pony that they would make into a toy. Being a fan of the new incarnation of the franchise, I gave it a go.

He came with this description: Mane Stream is a sweet, simple Earth Pony that owns a small, but well stocked music shop, He loves music and knows every song in every genre. You name it, he has it.

As obvious now, I didn't exactly win, but I still had fun coming up with the little guy.

Portal Throwback

Digging through some old folders, I found a few more pieces from my time where I designing a lot of Portal 2 fanart.

The first is a quick model sheet I threw together for my design of an android Wheatley. It was mostly for my reference and for anyone else who wanted to draw him.

Since I always love drawing interactions between characters, I also did a quick little paint of Chell and my version of Wheatley taking a breather from testing.
