Zootopia Booster Set

One of the first pin sets I pitched to Disney was released just recently. I'm really excited that they liked the idea and I'm happy with how the set came out.

Pride at Nashville Hard Rock Cafe

Another of my Hard Rock pins has shown up in the wild. This one was so fun to work on and come up with, especially making it unique to Tennessee with their state butterfly.

Disney Soda Fountain

Another wave of Disney characters eating frozen treats for the Disney Soda Fountain and Studio Store. This was the first batch to also feature a backer card I designed just for the line.

Joy 2017 at Disney Parks

The merchandise production process is a pretty wild one. From the first rough concept to the final product on shelves, it takes a while for just one product to be made. Even so, I'm still amazed and appreciate how streamlined the process can be, because that timeline could always be longer.

Anyway, I say all this because some of the very first pins I created as a full time designer were released the month before last. As part of the Disney Parks holiday celebrations, I had the opportunity to design a couple pins and their backer cards. I learned so much just on these projects, alone, and had a lot of fun plussing them as much as I could.

The Rescuers 40th Anniversary

Over the summer, The Rescuers celebrated its 40th anniversary and the Mickey's of Glendale shop celebrated by releasing a limited edition pin I had the pleasure of designing. I just recently found some pictures of it floating around the internet and wanted to share.

Lilo & Stitch 15th Anniversary

It sometimes takes me a while to learn when pins I've designed are released to the public, but it brightens my day a little more every time I do. This time, I found out that the Mickey's of Glendale on the Walt Disney Imagineering campus released a pin I worked on for Lilo and Stitch's 15th Anniversary. This film holds a special place in my heart as one of the few films made entirely at the Disney studio in Florida. My dad worked in the same building as the team and I had the rare opportunity to glimpse this gorgeous film throughout its production. I still remember the first time dad tried to explain Stitch's character to me.

Disney Soda Fountain

It's been a while, but I found out that a few more of my pin designs for the Disney Studio Store on Hollywood Blvd have been released. Genie in his touristy shirt was a pretty specific request and probably the most fun to come up with.

Hard Rock Cafe New York City

I'm usually more on the character based art side, but every once in a while, I get the opportunity to stretch my architecture muscles. This was a pin released a little while back of the front of the Hard Rock Cafe on Broadway in New York City. I like how it came out!

Hercules 20th Anniversary

Last month, the still ungodly funny movie, Hercules, turned 20. This movie is one of my favorites out of the Disney studio and it's not just because I share a name with the heroine. To celebrate, Mickeys of Glendale at Walt Disney Imagineering employed us to make a pin for the occasion and I had the pleasure of designing it.

Father's Day 2017 with Inside Out

Another month, another holiday that saw a release of one of my first pin designs. This pin with Riley and her dad was designed right alongside the Finding Dory pin and I saw it released last month for the holiday. This was a cute one to do, especially since I don't see these two very often!
